UPDATE: June 6, 2024 – 6:30AM – All activities will proceed AS PLANNED with hopes that any inclement weather will hold off as long as possible today. Safe travels everyone and we look forward to see you today!
The Clinton County Association of Township Officials annual convention is scheduled for Thursday June 6th, 2024, at the Clinton County Fairgrounds. This organization of elected officials is formed in each county to discuss township issues and ways to improve local government in our communities. County associations hold annual conventions to offer an opportunity to learn through training sessions from speakers, discuss challenges and network together for the best practices for township government.
Businesses are invited to display and demonstrate their equipment outside and promote and showcase their service/products inside as well. This years’ trade show will once again offer an equipment completion. Township employee equipment operators are encouraged to compete to win prizes showing their skills and ability they use to operate township equipment on a daily basis. Registration for the competition will be the same day at the time of sign in. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place winners.
PSATS, Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors Director David Sanko will be present to give an update on the most current policies and regulations. A trivia game of jeopardy will also be scheduled which was a popular experience related to local government questions and answers. Penn Dot (LTAP) Local Technical Assistance Program will present to road workers. A number of topics will be available for administration secretaries and treasurers in a panel of questions and answers. Raffle drawings for many prizes and a 50/50 drawing will also be part of the day.
The equipment vendors outside exhibits and inside vendor displays will be available from 9:00AM through 2:00PM. The displays offer educational information and materials throughout the day. A catered lunch is available with a registration fee of $20.00 per person must be paid in advance. To register complete the form below and return with the $20 and information required by May 28th. Holding this event in such a large venue increases the opportunity to have unlimited attendees. We encourage and welcome the public to come learn more about our local government and what is involved in general operations.
